Arcam Corp., based in Hopkinton, MA, produces lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode active material (CAM) directly from spent LFP batteries. LFP is a fast-growing battery chemistry, widely used in electric vehicles and stationary energy storage. Arcam has already deployed its process at commercial scale in Asia and is now seeking to site its first U.S. production facility in Michigan, close to cell manufacturers.
