EVENT RECAP: MRC 40th Annual Spring Conference

The Michigan Recycling Coalition (MRC) held its 40th annual Spring Conference in East Lansing this month. The conference spanned three days and included two keynote speakers, site tours, networking opportunities, and learning sessions, including NextCycle Michigan programming.

With the RSC and ROADS Bootcamp occurring with the conference, there were many new faces at this event.

There were two NextCycle Michigan sessions: Project Acceleration and MICROS Lightning Round. During the Project Acceleration session, the audience was presented with an overview of NextCycle Michigan and was prompted to participate in a project and business canvassing exercise. At the lightning round session, MICROS track teams, including Urban Ashes, Goodwill Industries of West Michigan, and Goodwill Green Works of Detroit, gave short presentations on their experiences in the MICROS track and how it impacted their business.
